Thank you, Miss H.! I'm actually chomping at the bit to get started on writing about each one. Damn this work thing. It just cuts into time needed for the more important stuff. :)
This is one of my favorite pieces! Love the new layout, very nice. How did you do all this so fast? I would still be thinking about what color I wanted : ) Anywho, YOU GO GIRL!!! You are so amazing and you know I will be the first in line for your goddess book. Can't wait to see more.
Well, you know me... once I get inspired with something it just flows out of me without really thinking too much about it. I just flipped through a few files I keep for my favorite digital scrapbook stuff and just let myself choose the colors and textures I was most drawn to... and then just started building things up from there. Once I had the mail illustration template done, the blog header and picture frames were easy.
And you know, as I was working on this one I really didn't think it was going to come together very well. It seemed too messy and cluttered to me and I almost scrapped it a few times - but didn't, of course... and yet, lots of people seem to really like it... which is why I never scrap anything once it's underway. You just never know... :)
I'd like to see some of that creative mojo start to work on you too, Missy! Get drawing, dammit! :P
Lovely blog, sweetie! I'm very much looking forward to reading about your works... :o) It's so exciting to get to view beautiful art and learn about history!!!
Well, as you know, I am fighting against the monster I call Mr. Lazy. But the mojo has taken some effect. I have started on your special gift. Hopefully I will get everything done in time.
But I can't wait to see all the new drawings you come up with.
Thank you, Miss Sandy!! I'm so happy to have you here!!
And as for you, Mss A-Bot... I really don't know how many times I need to sprinkle you with Artsy Mojo before it's going to take effect. I am excited about my present though... but it's okay if you don't have it done in time. Just the idea of you making me something with your own two creative hands for my birthday is a present enough in and of itself. :)
Friends at work nicknamed me "The Scribbler" because that's what I do - scribble out drawings. The fancy name for my professional line of work is "Illustrator".
And, I love opossums. I love all animals, really, but not a lot of people are as fond of 'possums as I am. People think of them as big, scary, oversized rats. Fact is, they are very docile and gentle creatures who only look scary... umm... like me. And they are marsupials and not of the rodentia family, thank you very much. They are the only marsupials on the North American continent. That makes them kinda special. :)
This blog is to showcase the artwork and share various bits of information for my current project, The Goddess Coloring Book. Once it's completed, I plan to continue posting stuff about whatever project I happen to be working on at that time.
